Tonsai Bay is where you likely set foot first if you decide to stay overnight on Koh Phi Phi Don island. It is your gateway to the only town on the Phi Phi islands. With hundreds of longtail boats lined up across the vastness of the bay, Tonsai breathtaking panorama is best enjoyed from atop the hill. A flat sandy isthmus connects the hilly east and west halves of the island, scalloped into the much-photographed symmetrical double bays of Tonsai and Loh Dalum.
The beach at Tonsai Bay is charming too. Suitable for playing, swimming, and strolling with shady coconut trees. The west part of Tonsai Bay can also be used for snorkeling off the beach. Diving centers are lined up on both sides of the bay. And walking distance away, there are pubs and bars where you find live music and fun throughout the night.
