Hin Wong is a large, well-protected, horseshoe bay. There are several underwater pinnacles covered in some of the most fertile coral of Koh Tao. Encircled by boulders, it’s a great idea to kayak across this enticing bay. Located on the east side of Koh Tao, Hin Wong is known as a quiet getaway for those who wish to escape the crowds.
The best snorkeling site would be on the southern part of the bay where the water is clear, and tourists can see the magnificent sight of large schools of sardines swimming underwater. The beautiful underwater view includes gorgeous corals, anemones, and all kinds of fish swimming gracefully around you. The many pinnacles that submerge in the waters surrounding Hin Wong are where one can find the most beautiful corals on Koh Tao.
Despite being a well-known tourist attraction, Hin Wong is less crowded and less developed as compared to the other destinations on Koh Tao. A peaceful destination for you, you can definitely avoid the usual dive schools that can be seen at famous dive sites. Ideal for the more experienced divers – Hin Wong is suitable for deep dives where currents can be pretty strong and unpredictable visibility is to be expected.
