Koh Sam Sao or also known as Tripod Island is yet another attraction to be explored in Ang Thong National Marine Park. There is a Stonebridge on Koh Sam Sao – a natural feature linking two rocks. It is big enough to dinghy under, making it an iconic rock arch that is known to tourists. Ashore of the island is a short trail leading to a viewpoint. Across from Stonebridge are two small islands connected (usually) by a sandbar. You will find good snorkeling and your private beach (at least for a while!). Koh Sam Sao is situated towards the northeastern corner of Koh Mae Ko, offering an extensive range of coral reefs.
Koh Sam Sao is an attractive tiny island for its snorkeling sites offering shallow waters, rocky coast, colorful reefs, and diversity in marine life. You can expect to encounter sea turtles, majestic manta rays, colorful fish, eels, and much more. For those who are not that energetic or prefer a more peaceful holiday, you are not left out. Other activities that can be carried out on Koh Sam Sao island include kayaking. Visitors are bound to be left breathless at the views that one can expect when kayaking around the island, passing the sea caves and lagoon. It is an incredible experience when kayaking through the many more significant caves around the island.
