Koh Hin Ngam is a small island masked with beautiful, black, polished volcanic stones, formed by waves hitting the shore for thousands of years. Koh Hin Ngam literally means “the island with the most beautiful rocks”. The rocks are indeed everywhere, as there are no beaches on Hin Ngam. Interestingly, there is also a sign here that tells about terrible things that may happen to a person who takes the stones from the island. Apparently, this curse works! Hin Ngam is also famous for its fantastic snorkel reef right next to the island, which offers a wide variety of fish, hard and soft corals.
