Gili Nanggu is the most famous of the South Gilis due to its picturesque beaches and laid-back atmosphere. The waters around Gili Nanggu island are transparent and shallow, with vibrant and healthy coral reefs, promising a perfect snorkeling spot. Head over to the northern beach, which is connected by a narrow road. The beach is usually secluded, and there are not any tourist facilities around. You can snorkel from the beach in Gili Nanggu as the coral reefs stretch for about 50 m offering you a stunning overview of underwater life and diversity. From a pier, there is a small dirt road leading out onto a white peninsular of sand that juts into beautiful clear waters. Gili Nanggu is a very scenic location, coupled with neighboring Gili Genting. The latter is secluded and does not see many tourists.
