Thong Nai Pan is a palm tree-lined beach of gleaming, white sand, with black rock formations at both ends. Surrounded by mountains and rainforests, there is a hiking trail through them, leading to a waterfall and turquoise waters. Thong Nai Pan is made up of adjacent coves on the northeast of Koh Phangan. The beach is made up of two villages, and they are Thong Nai Pan Noi and Thong Nai Pan Yai. Both villages have their own facilities despite giving out different vibes. Thong Nai Pan Noi has a more cohesive village atmosphere as compared to Thong Nai Pan Yai.
Truly off the beaten path, Thong Nai Pan is quite hard to access. The fastest but more expensive way is to take a ferry from Koh Samui. Still, most tourists find the trip to be a worthy one due to its beautiful beaches and lush green hills standing majestically in the background. The vibe in Thong Nai Pan Noi is more of a hippie one, which makes it more happening compared to the spread-out town in Thong Nai Pan Yai.
